We’re a group of passionate final year university students creating No Applause, a bold and gripping psychological thriller, as part of our dissertation project. This is more than just a short film; it’s an exploration of ambition, morality, and the dark side of fame, inspired by the growing pressure to succeed in today’s world.

 

No Applause follows Lily, a vulnerable but ambitious young woman who dreams of stardom. Her journey takes a sinister turn when she joins a mysterious theatre boot camp, only to realise she’s part of a dark experiment. Through her descent into corruption, we confront the question: how far will someone go to be seen and applauded?
